Lights…camera..ACTION!  Last night CheddarBooth had the opportunity to be a part of something amazing.  Mission Hospice Society held their annual themed Gala and this year was Hollywood!  This was a star studded event with red carpet appearances by Jack Nicholson, Marilyn Monroe, Charlie Chaplin, Indiana Jones, Kenny Hess, and even Chow from “The Hangover” just to name a few.  We were all blown away by the incredibly talented and hilarious emcee/auctioneer/red carpet correspondent extraordinaire “Cliff Clooney” from Cliff House Event Entertainment and live music was performed on stage by Momentary Lapz.  At the end of the night there was lots of money raised for a great cause and everyone is now eagerly anticipating next year!! Thursday evening Launch Menswear, Marcus Ortner Real Estate and Lake City Mortgage were host to a fun mingle, sip, shop and support event for Casa de Luz.  Casa de Luz, “House of Light,” is a Children’s Center and Community Center located in Primo Tapia, Baja California, Mexico. This center is a partnership between the local La Hermosa Church and the Abbotsford Vineyard. Casa de Luz is a transitional home for children that will provide meals and care for children during the day, help with school work, and offer practical, emotional and spiritual support for families. This project will help families remove their children from full-time orphanages due to economic hardship and will enableother families to keep their children at home, rather than placing them in full time orphanage care.  Below are a few of our favourite pictures from the evening.  Visit CheddarBooth’s Facebook page to see lots more awesome photos!  A BIG thank-you to the hosts and supporting businesses for a fun and successful night!

Last night CheddarBooth had the pleasure of being a part of another great fundraiser at Ramada Plaza & Conference Centre, put on by the Abbotsford Hospice Society.  The theme of the evening was “Enchanted” and it was nothing short of spectacular (amazing decor by Alexis of Simply Perfect Flowers)!  AHS helps people who are living with a terminal illness and provides support services free of charge to families.  In addition, they provide programs to comfort children, teens and adults on their personal journey of grief and loss.  AHS is also building Abbotsford’s first adult hospice residence for those as young as 19 years of age.  They will be alongside Canuck Place and Matthew’s House on the Dave Lede Campus of Care, located next to the Abbotsford Regional Hospital.  Donate to Abbotsford Hospice Society. To see more great photos from the evening head to CheddarBooth’s Facebook page  or to download your own photos from the evening click HERE.  Thanks for having us AHS!  :)
